Diamond Rio's Marty Roe tells country.com the award-winning band will hit the road with a fellow award-winning country
band for a few dates in February. "We're going to go out and do a little 'Battle of the Bands' with our good friends in Sawyer
Brown," Roe said Tuesday (Jan. 16). "I look forward to it. We had a great time when we did this last time in 1994, up in Canada
and other places." While only a few dates are confirmed, Roe hopes to do more with Mark Miller and company throughout the
year. Diamond Rio also is considering hooking up with Kenny Rogers for some type of tour in 2001. "We've been talking to Kenny,
and maybe we'll have Sara Evans come out, too, do a little Dreamcatcher package," Roe said. Rogers, Evans and Diamond Rio
all are managed through Dreamcatcher Entertainment. Although specifics are still in the works, Roe says the band will definitely
be touring this year in some manner to promote the new album, One More Day, set for release in February. "You'll see
us out there working," Roe joked, "'cause we can't afford not to."
