The Grand Ole Opry has announced new ticket prices for the 2001 season. Seats on the main floor and in the mezzanine level
will now go for $25, an increase from $22.50. Upper balcony seats, originally $20.50, now will cost $23. Special children's
ticket prices ($15, $13) also have been established for kids 4-11 years old. Tickets for the summer Tuesday matinees will
stay at $20 and $18, with children's tickets at $12 and $10. Also on tap for this summer, the free Opry Plaza parties will
return on Friday nights from June 8 - Aug. 11. Last summer, Asleep at the Wheel, Junior Brown, The Derailers, BR5-49 and the
Old Crow Medicine Show were among acts to play the special series. The OpryFest Bluegrass Jamboree also is scheduled for July
21-22.
