Country great form the 70s, Freddy Fender, is among the selected few to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fender was chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee, and ratified by the Chamber's Board of Directors to receive his very own "star" in 1999. Fender, known internationally for his musical talents and such hits as "Wasted Days In Wasted Nights" and "Before The Next Teardrop Falls," has been a member of the American music scene for the last 30 years. "It's a real honor to be selected for the Walk of Fame," says Fender. " It lets me know that all my work and dedication has been noticed by my peers."
