Johnny Cash earned three nominations for the 2003 Americana Awards, which will be presented in Nashville on Sept. 19. Cash
is nominated for album, song and artist of the year. Kathleen Edwards, Alison Krauss, Buddy Miller and Lucinda Williams each
earned two nominations. The Dixie Chicks, the Jayhawks, guitarist Gurf Morlix and Rhonda Vincent were also nominated. Edwards
will perform at the event, in addition to Rodney Crowell, Allison Moorer and Ricky Skaggs. The Americana Music Association
hosts the event, which is in its second year. 07/31/03
