Although memorial services were at an all-time high back in April when the legendary Tammy Wynette passed away, the musical
icon is still being remembered all across the world. Wynette's United Kingdom-based manager has planned a special British
memorial service, which takes place on Thursday, July 9th. Tammy's husband George Richey is flying to England to attend the
tribute service held at St. James Church in London. Meanwhile, music legend Elton John will record the country classic "Stand
by Your Man" for the forthcoming Tammy Wynette tribute album. The disc, scheduled for an August or September release, will
also feature tunes by Melissa Etheridge, Faith Hill, Wynonna and Trisha Yearwood, plus Wynette's very last recording, a cover
of the Beach Boys' "In My Room." Wynette died in April due to a blood clot in her lung.
