Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have won two Grammys, but Wednesday's (Jan. 3) nomination for "You'll Always Be Loved by Me" was
a needed boost. "We're thrilled, because after 10 years this is usually the point where you start losing your grip on your
career," Brooks told country.com via cell phone soon after the nominations were announced. "This is a revitalization
for us." The duo is now in the studio working on an album with producer Mark Wright (Lee Ann Womack, Mark Chesnutt). Brooks
said having someone different in the booth has brought a new energy to the project. "Mark is a good friend, and we've talked
about doing a record together for years," Brooks said. "When you do things the same way for so long, it's nice to have some
new blood on the project. It's been fun, and it's brought me and Ronnie closer together again." The new album is expected
in April.
