John Michael Montgomery broke his right leg Friday (Dec. 29) when he fell on ice while hunting near his rural Kentucky home.
The singer suffered a compound fracture near his ankle and underwent surgery Friday afternoon at Central Baptist Hospital
in Lexington, Ky., an Atlantic Records spokeswoman told country.com. Montgomery is recuperating at home. He will be
in a cast but does not expect to cancel concert dates scheduled for the end of the month, the spokeswoman said.
