Another Capitol Records artist, however, seems to be doing alright. On the heels of her debut disc, Did I Shave My Legs For This?, her new forthcoming album, Everything's Gonna Be Alright, will feature a remake of folk-rocker Melanie's "Brand New Key" hit, originally released in 1971. The song marks Deana's final cut for the new album that's slated for an October 20th release. Carter's father, famous session player, Fred Carter, Jr., penned the disc's title cut in the 70s. Carter was recently invited to the St. Louis Planet Hollywood grand opening by actor/chain co-owner Bruce Willis. Carter joined Willis and John Goodman onstage to perform the Tommy James & the Shondells' classic "Hanky Panky." Others attending the party were Melanie Griffith, Luke Perry and James Caan.
