Singer Trace Adkins, who hit the top of the country charts last year singing the line "Somebody call 911...I left something
turned on at home," is singing a different tune. Adkins recorded an ad in Nashville recently aimed at decreasing the number
of unnecessary 911 calls in and around Music City. In the ad, a 911 dispatcher's voice cuts into his hit song, saying to Adkins:
"We have a problem. Now people are calling 911 whenever they leave something turned on at home." Tennessee radio listeners
are then reminded to call a different number in non-life-threatening situations.
