Through his Cyrus Charities Foundation, singer Billy Ray Cyrus recently handed out $12,764 in grants to various organizations
and charities. Ron Cyrus, his father, announced the grants Tuesday (Dec. 19). The money, raised through concerts and donations,
went to a summer day camp for kids with diabetes and asthma, to a slain police officer's widow, and to needy students for
school clothes, among other recipients. The Cyrus Foundation has awarded half a million dollars to charities since its inception
in 1993.
