Lonestar keyboardist Dean Sams had to skip performing the National Anthem at a Dallas Cowboys game Sunday (Dec. 17) to make
it home for the birth of his second child. The band had just played a benefit concert in Baton Rouge, La., for St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital, when he learned his wife, Kim, had gone into labor four weeks early. Sams flew to Nashville in time to
welcome his first son, 6-pound, 6-ounce Bryson Dean. The growing family, which includes 3-year-old sister Britney, left the
hospital on Tuesday (Dec. 19).
