After 64 dates over five months, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have rolled the bus into the shed and called it a wrap on Soul 2 Soul 2000. The couple's first joint tour ended Tuesday (Dec. 12) in Orlando, Fla. McGraw's spokeswoman said he and Hill will take some time off for the holidays, and McGraw might take January and February off as well. Hill told reporters backstage at this year's CMA Awards that she plans to take the entire year off from touring to work on a Christmas album and the follow-up to the multi-platinum Breathe. McGraw, whose first greatest hits package is spending its second straight week at the top of the Billboard country albums chart, also will be putting the finishing touches on his next studio album in 2001. Although most of the music is done, the project hasn't been turned in to McGraw's label, Curb Records, and no release date has been set. Final figures aren't in yet for the Soul 2 Soul tour, but the nearly sold-out run could give the Dixie Chicks' 'Fly' tour a run for top country tour of the year.
