Tim McGraw's greatest hits package debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country albums chart, selling 306,000 units in
its first week of release, according to the singer's publicist. The collection is McGraw's fourth consecutive album to debut
in the top spot. Sales of Greatest Hits set a personal record for McGraw, beating the 251,000 first-week sales figures
for A Place in the Sun, which would go on to win the CMA award for Album of the Year. McGraw's new best-of set is also
the fastest-selling debut in the history of Curb Records, according to General Manager Dennis Hannon. McGraw and wife Faith
Hill wrap up their Soul 2 Soul tour Dec. 12 in Orlando, Fla. Hill's quadruple-platinum album Breathe is right behind her husband's
at No.2 on the Billboard chart.
