According to Forbes magazine estimates, country superstar Garth Brooks will earn as much as $54 million by the year's end. The prediction stems from the publication's annual ranking of entertainment's top moneymakers. Garth garners the 14th slot on the list, which is up from his No. 21 position last year. AND... The mayor of Philadelphia recently proclaimed the week beginning September 7th as Garth Brooks Week in the famous Brotherly Love City. Brooks receives the honor due to selling out six shows (120,000 tickets) in less than four hours. PLUS... Brooks will also receive a Distinguished Artist Award from the Music Center of Los Angeles County in November. Others who'll receive the award this year include actor Kirk Douglas, composers Jerry Herman and Lalo Schifrin and choreographer/actress Ann Reinking.
