More than 30 prominent bluegrass acts are slated to perform at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America
(SPBGMA) convention and awards show in Nashville, Feb. 1-4. The event will be held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. Songwriter
and musician Carl Jackson will host the awards ceremonies on the final evening of the convention. Among the acts scheduled
to perform during various segments of the gathering are J.D. Crowe & The New South, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Nashville Bluegrass
Band, the Reno Brothers, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time, the Lewis Family, IIIrd Tyme Out,
Melvin Goins, the Lynn Morris Band, Randall Hylton, Dale Ann Bradley and Eddie & Martha Adcock. Activities will include band
showcases, gospel sings, a banjo workshop, a promoters meeting and trade exhibits.
