Rogers, Parton Reunite for Duet
Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton recently reunited to record a duet for his upcoming album. The two met at a Nashville-area studio to record "Undercover," a song written by Parton. Explaining the creative process leading to the session, Rogers says, "Right from the start, I knew it had to be a song that Dolly would write because no one could write better for us than she can. It was great to be back in the studio with her again." Parton adds, "I always forget how much I love Kenny as a person and how much I love to hear him sing until we get together again. What a joyful day we had. ... It's just a fun, lighthearted, lovin' song that fits our personalities perfect." Parton and Rogers topped the charts in 1983 with "Islands in the Stream." 08/06/03
