Although still a relative newcomer, Joe Nichols will mark his 35th Grand Ole Opry performance on Aug. 12 as part of the summer's
Tuesday Night Opry series. "I grew up watching the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday nights and never really believed I'd ever get
the opportunity to be up there on that stage with all the greats," Nichols says. "So when I was first invited to be a guest
on the Opry last year, it really was the realization of a life-long dream." He adds, "There is no stage in any genre of music
like the Opry, and every time I walk out there I feel like there's no more prestigious place I could be." 08/06/03
