The Nashville Chapter of the Recording Academy has kicked off its 11th Annual Fantasy Auction. This annual event, started
in 1989, serves to raise funds for important community outreach and arts education programs by offering valuable artist memorabilia
to fans of country music. To organize the Fantasy Auction, the Recording Academy works closely with each of Nashville's major
record companies, management offices and artists to collect valuable items autographed or worn by country's top performers.
The Recording Academy then offers the items to the public through a silent auction each spring. This year, the Academy continues
its partnership with country.com. A portion of the list of items to be auctioned off will be posted in the March issue
of Country Weekly, with the entire list available exclusively at country.com.
