The Dixie Chicks announced earlier this week that they will stay off the road in 2001, and now comes word that Faith Hill is planning her own self-imposed hiatus. While talking to the press backstage after her CMA Female Vocalist win Wednesday night (Oct. 4), Hill said she isn't sure what she'll do with her time when the Soul 2 Soul tour with husband Tim McGraw wraps up in December. "I don't know, there's so many things we can do," she said. "The fans have been amazing this year, we've had so much fun on the road and who knows what the future holds. But I can tell you this much, come Dec. 15 I'm not doing anything. Getting ready for Christmas, that's what we'll be doing at our house." When asked whether he also would take a year off, McGraw scoffed at the notion. "I can't afford to take a year off," he joked. "I've got two kids and a wife with a big ol' diamond. I've got to make some money somehow."
