Country singer Collin Raye, along with Childhelp USA, the national organization formed in 1959 to combat child abuse, has already yielded a star-studded concert at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium and a poster contest to help raise awareness of this growing epidemic. Additionally, the first Collin Raye Web Auction to benefit Childhelp is currently online for two weeks. Collin's page on Sony Music Nashville's web site will host the unique auction, country.com are providing providing a link to Sony Nashville's site offering our 1.2 million daily visitors a chance to bid on some wonderful items. Fans will be able to bid on autographed items from Gloria Estefan, Kathy Lee Gifford, boxing legend Larry Holmes, Tom Jones, autographed guitars from Chet Atkins and Waylon Jennings, a Hard Rock Cafe Nashville jacket autographed by Ashley, Wynonna and Naomi Judd, a Troy Aikman autographed football and more. Each item will include a brief description along with the highest bid to date which will be updated daily. Bids will be accepted until 6:00 p.m. on December 1, 1998. In addition to the auction, and his recent concert, Collin was in Phoenix on November 13 to sing his hard-hitting album cut "The Eleventh Commandment" at the 2nd Annual Spirit of the Children gala. As an ambassador to for Childhelp USA, he's also participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony dedicating the new Childhelp Children's Center of Arizona.
