Brooks has also made plans to help bring in the holiday season, as he will join artists such as Jewel, Babyface and Cyndi Lauper in an upcoming NBC special that will feature the 66th lighting of the world's most famous Christmas tree, Christmas in Rockefeller Center, on Wednesday, December 2nd. The first annual national hour-long TV special honoring the event will be hosted by NBC's Jane Pauley, Matt Lauer and Al Roker. In addition to guest appearing on several hot late night shows and morning programs, Brooks will hit television on November 18th with his 6th NBC special (featuring Brooks in front of a studio audience) and broadcast live from the NBC Studios in Burbank, California. The one-hour special will spotlight exclusive, never-before-seen concert footage of Brooks performing new songs from his new album, which is slated for a November 17th release. Brooks will also interact with viewers live via satellite, show clips of his favorite performances from previous specials and perform live. Entitled Garth Brooks Double Live, the show will help promote his brand new double CD release. Included on the entire TV tour are spots on Donnie & Marie, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, The View, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, CBS This Morning and The Late, Late Show With Tom Snyder. Doing Wal-Mart, Too? He'll be featured in a one-hour satellite broadcast to the country's 2,400 Wal-Mart stores on release day, November 17th, as well. The new CD will reportedly sport at least six different covers, including shots from his Central Park concert in New York; Dublin, Ireland; and his ever-popular guitar smashing from a 1991 performance in Dallas. PLUS... Coming soon to a theater near you, Brooks' film debut as a producer! The Fugitive screenwriter, Jeb Stuart, will write The Lamb, a psychological thriller that will be co-produced by both Brooks and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds. The film, which may include a role for Garth, will be aout a superstar musician who encounters an overzealous fan. He has, however, auditioned for a new movie The Green Mile starring Tom Hanks.
