Kelly Willis' brand of country music plays well in her hometown. The former MCA recording artist captured honors for album
of the year, female vocalist of the year and country artist of the year at the Austin Music Awards, presented Wednesday in
Austin, Texas. Willis performed four songs, including the title track, from her winning album What I Deserve. A former
resident of northern Virginia, she was effusive in her gratitude to the Austin community for accepting her as one of its own.
