Grammy winner Vince Gill will return to touring early next year after a self-imposed yearlong break. Dates and locations for the tour have not yet been decided, Gill's publicist says. The singer will be in New York this week to promote his ninth consecutive turn as host of the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, to be broadcast Oct. 4 on CBS. During his New York jaunt, he'll sit in Thursday (Sept. 28) with Paul Shaffer and his band on The Late Show With David Letterman. He'll appear Friday (Sept. 29) on CBS' The Early Show and Live With Regis. Gill is taking advantage of the trip to take his new bride, singer and expectant mother Amy Grant, to one of Barbra Streisand's last concerts before she retires from performing. Gill collaborated with Streisand on the 1999 tune "If You Ever Leave Me."
