Vince Gill and Amy Grant will headline the third annual "A Musical Tribute to John Denver" Oct. 13-15 at the Wheeler Opera
House in Aspen, Colo. Gill and Grant will perform only on the Oct. 13 show, which is already sold out. Proceeds from the event
are donated to the Challenge Aspen charity. Organized by Denver's friends and former band members, this year's tribute will
feature performances by such musicians and songwriters as Herb Pedersen, who is making his first appearance there, Jim Horn,
Machito Sanchez, Chris Nole, Bill Danoff, of Starland Vocal Band fame and co-writer of "Country Roads," Steve Weisburg, John
Sommers, writer of "Thank God I'm a Country Boy," and Pete Huttlinger, winner of the recent national fingerpicking championship
at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kan. Denver died in an airplane crash on Oct. 12, 1997.
