Jackson, McEntire, McGraw and Messina Perform on CMAs
Apparently, all is forgiven and forgotten between Alan Jackson and the Country Music Association. Jackson will perform "www.memory," from his upcoming album on The 34th Annual CMA Awards, Oct. 4 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The country singer caught the CMA by surprise during last year's awards show when he tacked a snippet of George Jones' "Choices" onto the end of his performance of "Pop a Top." The gesture was a show of support for Jones, who refused to appear after the CMA asked him to do an abbreviated version of "Choices." Jackson is nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year, for "Murder on Music Row" with George Strait. Also during the show, telecast live from 8-11 p.m. ET by CBS, Reba McEntire will sing "We're So Good Together." Tim McGraw will do "Some Things Never Change" and Jo Dee Messina will perform "Burn," the title track from her new album. Brooks & Dunn and Clint and Lisa Hartman Black will be presenters.
