Brenda Shaver, wife of country songwriting legend Billy Joe Shaver and mother of guitarist Eddy Shaver, died on Friday, July
31st, at an Austin, Texas, hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services were to be held on Monday (Aug. 2)
in Waco, Texas. Shaver's cancelled U.S. tour dates will be rescheduled in the fall.
