Viewers of The 33rd Annual CMA Awards will be treated to performances by such top music celebrities as the Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill, Faith Hill and many more. Set to air on CBS September 22nd at 8 p.m. EDT, the three-hour special will also feature Alabama performing with pop sensation 'N Sync. In one of the year's most innovative musical pairings, three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Alabama will be joined by 'N Sync to perform the across-the-board hit "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You." THE NOMINEES ARE IN! -- It's been 13 years since a female act has taken the CMA's Entertainer of the Year crown. Reba McEntire accepted that honor. CMA Awards '99 could see such a victory go to either The Dixie Chicks or Shania Twain. "Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God," exclaimed Chick Emily Robison, after hearing that she and her two performing pals were nominated for Entertainer of the Year. "It's pretty surprising to me that we would be nominated for that award this soon. I'm constantly intrigued and delighted by people's opinions of what we're doing -- especially our peers in the music industry. It's thrilling that the industry has enough faith in us to recognize us in this category."
