Multi-award-winning country songstress Barbara Mandrell has a lot lined up on her TV schedule these days. She stars as a determined mother locked into a dangerous triangle with her alcoholic son and his psychopathic new girlfriend in the NBC picture, The Wrong Girl, to be telecast Monday, January 4th at 9 p.m. Eastern. Mandrell plays the role of Angela Fisher. She'll also host the PAX TV special My Favorite Christmas Songs on Wednesday, December 16th at 9 p.m. Eastern. Other artists featured include Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey, Manheim Steamroller, Boyz II Men, All 4 One, N Sync and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Mandrell is the focus of Lifetime Television's Intimate Portrait special on Saturday, January 4th at 10 p.m. Eastern. Included in the piece are such friends and family as Dolly Parton, Ralph Emery, LeAnn Rimes, daughter/actress Jamie Dudney and sisters Louise and Irlene Mandrell. Then on Sunday, January 10th at 6 p.m. Eastern, Mandrell will be presenting on the CBS telecast of The People's Choice Awards. She's won nine of the trophies herself at past award ceremonies.
