Singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale has been named to host the second annual Americana Awards Show, set for Sept. 19 at the Renaissance
Hotel in downtown Nashville. The event coincides with the Americana Conference, taking place Sept. 18-20. At the inaugural
Americana Awards, Lauderdale received artist of the year and song of the year honors. The Americana Music Association will
present five lifetime achievement awards this year. Already confirmed to perform at the awards show are Rodney Crowell, Kathleen
Edwards, Allison Moorer and Ricky Skaggs. 08/12/03
