Darryl Worley was selected as the recipient of the 2003 Veterans of Foreign Wars Americanism Award at their 104th National
Convention in San Antonio, Texas. VFW commander in chief Ray Sisk presented Worley with the award Wednesday (Aug. 27) during
the organization's general business session attended by more than 6,000 members. The VFW acknowledged Worley's contribution
to the music field and his recording of the song "Have You Forgotten?" Previous recipients include J. Edgar Hoover, Spiro
Agnew, John Wayne, Sen. John McCain and actor Gerald McRaney. 08/29/03
