In recognition of the Grand Ole Opry's 75th anniversary, CBS will tape a primetime special Oct. 25 at the Opry House in Nashville, Tenn. Walter Miller, the man behind the CMA Awards and Grammy telecasts, will produce. The lineup has not been finalized, but the show will include all living Opry members in some way, says an Opry spokeswoman. In addition, the A&E cable channel will devote an installment of its Biography series to the venerable radio show. Among those interviewed for the program are Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, Little Jimmy Dickens, Porter Wagoner, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, Trisha Yearwood and Bill Anderson. Both Opry-related shows will air in November.
