Naomi Judd has filed for divorce from husband Larry Strickland after 11 years of marriage. Judd accuses Strickland of adultery
and inappropriate marital conduct in papers submitted Monday (Aug. 14) to the Williamson County Chancery Court, her publicist
confirmed Thursday (Aug. 17). Judd has made no public comment on the matter, but divorce attorney Rose Palermo released a
statement on her behalf. "As you might expect, this is a deeply painful and unsettling time for Naomi. We hope her desire
for privacy in this matter can be respected." Strickland, a former backup singer for Elvis Presley, has managed stepdaughter
Wynonna for the last four years and co-managed The Judds' "Power to Change" reunion tour earlier this year. He also handled
some of his wife's non-musical acting and public speaking engagements. Whether he will continue in his management duties has
not been determined, according to Judd's spokeswoman.
