After nearly three years without a new album, Patty Loveless releases Strong Heart on Aug. 29, and already she is tossing around of idea of making her first Christmas album for the 2001 season. Although plans are still in the works, Loveless said she would like to make a holiday album with an Appalachian flavor. "I want to relive some of my childhood days," the singer explained during a recent interview. "Most of my memories of Christmas are back in the hills of Pikeville, Ky. I hope that Emory [Gordy Jr., her husband and producer] and I are able to write some things for the album, but I also want to grab some of those old childhood songs of the hills."
