Watson Goes Moody at Bluegrass Fest
When he appeared recently at the RockyGrass bluegrass festival in Lyons, Colo., Doc Watson surprised the crowd by performing a poignant version of The Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin," reports country.com correspondent Nancy Cardwell. It wasn't all '70s pop tunes for the guitar-playing folk legend from Deep Gap, N.C., however. Ricky Skaggs joined him for the haunting Monroe Brothers classic, "What Would You Give in Exchange?" Check back with country.com Saturday (Aug. 5), for Cardwell's full report on RockyGrass, held last weekend (July 28-30) in the shadow of Rocky Mountain National Park.
