Narada's Virgin-distributed Back Porch imprint will release Flaco Jimenez's Sleepytown Aug. 29. The 11-track disc pairs
Jimenez with old pals Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens and Lee Roy Parnell. In addition to being a pioneer of Tex-Mex conjunto
music, Jimenez is a former member of the Texas Tornados and a key participant in the Grammy-winning Los Super Seven project.
Back Porch also has issued The I-10 Chronicles, on which Jimenez appears, and CDs by Bill and Bonnie Hearne and Over
the Rhine.
