Alan Jackson, George Strait and Nickel Creek mine additional metal in the latest gold and platinum certifications from the
RIAA. Released Aug. 12, Jackson's Greatest Hits Volume II and Some Other Stuff was certified gold (for shipments of
500,000 copies) and platinum (for shipments of 1 million copies). It marks Jackson's 13th gold album and his 12th platinum
disc. Strait picks up his 30th and 31st gold albums with Honkytonkville and 20th Century Masters -- The Millennium
Collection. Nickel Creek's second album, This Side, received gold status in the RIAA's September certifications.
Other noteworthy milestones include double-platinum certification for Bob Dylan's landmark Blonde on Blonde, a 1966
album recorded on Nashville's Music Row. 10/02/03
