On the road since their Top of the World tour launched in May, the Dixie Chicks will apparently play their last concerts of
the year this weekend on the East Coast. The Chicks perform Friday (Oct. 10) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Charlotte,
N.C., and Sunday (Oct. 12) in Washington. The Charlotte show is a benefit for the Save the Earth Foundation. The Chicks and
the Eagles will each perform their full concert sets in Washington during a fundraiser for the Recording Artists' Coalition,
a non-profit organization representing the interests of recording artists with regard to legislative issues and addressing
other public policy debates that come before the music industry. After touring earlier this year in the U.S. and Europe, the
Chicks closed out the Australian leg of their tour on Oct. 4 in Sydney. 10/10/2003
