With its recent double platinum status, Toby Keith's Shock'n Y'all was the highest certified country album released
in 2003, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Released in November, Keith's album is just one of the
country releases achieving gold or platinum certification from the RIAA for the month of December. As previously reported,
Shania Twain's 2002 double-CD Up! achieved multi-platinum status for shipments of 10 million copies. Double platinum
certification went to The Very Best of the Eagles. Certified platinum for shipments of 1 million copies each are Keith
Urban's 1999 self-titled album, Kid Rock's new self-titled project and The Very Best of Sheryl Crow. Going gold for
shipments of 500,000 copies: Kenny Chesney's All I Want for Christmas Is a Real Good Tan, Brad Paisley's Mud on
the Tires, Chris Cagle's self-titled album and the Dixie Chicks' Top of the World: Live. The DVD version of the
Chicks' live album was declared a platinum longform video for shipments of 100,000 units.
