BMI president and CEO Frances W. Preston and the late Vestal Goodman will join the Rev. Al Green and Sandi Patty as the newest
inductees into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Preston joined BMI in 1958 and opened the performing rights organization's southern
regional office in Nashville. Goodman, known as the "Queen of Gospel Music," died Dec. 27 at age of 74 from complications
of the flu. Goodman was notified in early December of her induction. Gospel Music Association president John W. Styll announced
the inductees Tuesday (Jan. 6). The four will be honored during a special awards show Feb. 11 in Nashville.
