Backstage at the Grammy Awards, Randy Travis said his future plans may involve a movie based on his Grammy-winning song "Three
Wooden Crosses." Travis said that he's reading a movie script based on the song. "It reads very well," he said, "and it might
be the next thing." Travis also said that he's working on two albums at the moment. "I have bits and pieces of a country album
and bits and pieces of a gospel album," he said. ... John Carter Cash said the movie based on his father Johnny Cash's life
is now in pre-production. He added that no decisions have been yet made on the direction of music for the project although
he's been in frequent meetings with the movie's writer-director James Mangold. Tentatively titled "Walk the Line," it will
feature Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash. It may or may not include original Cash
recordings or re-recordings, he said. ... Some of Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner's female entourage hinted at
names of male country stars who have recently visited the Playboy mansion. ... With her four new Grammys and a total of 18,
Alison Krauss has now eclipsed Aretha Franklin as the leading female Grammy winner ever. The Queen of Soul has 16 Grammys.
Backstage, Krauss said she's been a longtime Franklin fan and had trouble comprehending the import of passing her total of
Grammys, saying "I've always loved her voice -- hasn't everybody?"
