Garth Brooks and Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride spent quality time together Wednesday (Feb. 25) during baseball
spring training in Surprise, Ariz., the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Brooks is visiting the Phoenix suburb to
actively train with the Kansas City Royals to raise awareness for his Teammates for Kids Foundation. Pride is making his 32nd
appearance at the Texas Rangers camp. Pride recalled that he and Brooks once appeared together at a concert that also featured
the Judds and the late Hoyt Axton. When the reporter asked Brooks to explain the differences between playing music and playing
baseball, the singer noted, "Music is like breathing in and out. As you can see, it takes no talent. It's just fun and it's
easy, easy. This? I'm sweatin' my butt off just to look like the least worst guy on the field."
