New artist Julie Roberts ("Break Down Here") will be the only performer at the AAFA American Image Awards to be held in New
York City on May 3. She will perform "Wake Up Older" with a 12-piece orchestra. The song appears on her debut album, due May
25. The awards will honor Sharon Stone, Oscar de la Renta (who will be dressing Roberts), the retailer Bergdorf Goodman, Kenneth
Cole and the cast of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Kelly Ripa hosts the event raising money for the American Foundation
for AIDS Research (amfAR) and educational programs by the AAFA (American Apparel and Footwear Association).
