The Unbroken Circle -- The Musical Heritage of the Carter Family will be released Aug. 24 on Dualtone Records. The
tribute album was produced by John Carter Cash, who is Maybelle Carter's grandson and the son of Johnny Cash and June Carter
Cash. The album features Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Rosanne Cash, Shawn Colvin with Earl and Randy Scruggs, Sheryl Crow,
Emmylou Harris with the Peasall Sisters, George Jones, the Del McCoury Band, Willie Nelson, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with
Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Ricky Skaggs and Marty Stuart. The Carter Family is often credited as the first family of
country music because of recordings they made in 1927 in Bristol, Tenn.
