Vivaton Records debuted Mark Chesnutt's upcoming album Thursday (July 22) at a party held in a tent behind the label's offices on Nashville's Music Row. Called Savin' the Honky Tonk, the album is scheduled to be released Sept. 21. "I've been wanting to cut a honky-tonk record for 14 years, and I finally did it," Chesnutt told the revelers. Prior to signing to Vivaton, Chesnutt recorded for Columbia and, before that, Decca and MCA. The new album includes a cover of Keith Whitley's 1987 hit, "Would These Arms Be in Your Way."
