Carolyn Dawn Johnson earned seven nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association on Wednesday (Aug. 4), making her
the leading contender for the Sept. 13 ceremony in Edmonton, Alberta. Johnson's nominations include female artist, single,
album, song, video and producer of the year. She shares the latter nomination with Dann Huff. Johnson also earned a nomination
for the fans' choice award announced in May. The band Doc Walker received five CCMA nominations, as did Jason McCoy. Terri
Clark landed four nominations, and Shania Twain took three. Doc Walker, McCoy, Clark and Twain are also nominees for the fans'
choice award.
