Bluegrass pioneer Curly Seckler and the late broadcaster and historian Bill Vernon are the latest inductees into the Bluegrass
Music Hall of Honor. The inductees, as well as the International Bluegrass Association's distinguished achievement award recipients,
will be honored Oct. 7 in Louisville, Ky., during the IBMA World of Bluegrass convention. Seckler played mandolin and sang
tenor harmonies with Flatt & Scruggs' Foggy Mountain Boys during the group's heyday from the late '40s to early '60s. Vernon
hosted radio shows in several locales, including New York City and Roanoke, Va. This year's distinguished achievement award
recipients are the late Folkways Records founder Moses ''Mo'' Asch, bluegrass radio marketers Kirk and Becky Brandenberger,
songwriters Tom T. and Dixie Hall, fiddler Art Stamper and singer-songwriter Jimmie Skinner.
