Mavis Staples has been added to the list of performers at the 2004 Americana Honors & Awards on Sept. 24 in Nashville. She
is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her career with the Staple Singers and recently released a solo album, Have
a Little Faith. She also contributed performances to new tribute albums honoring Johnny Paycheck (singing "Touch My Heart")
and Stephen Foster ("Hard Times Come Again No More.") Other artists to sing at the ceremony include Mindy Smith, the Nitty
Gritty Dirt Band, Tony Joe White and Shelby Lynne.
