Ring of Fire, a new musical based on Johnny Cash's songs, is expected to tour the U.S. in late 2005 before moving to
New York City for a Broadway production in 2006. Cash's family has given permission to producer Bill Meade to use Cash's extensive
music catalog, though Meade says in a press release that the musical will not feature a Cash impersonator. Richard Maltby
Jr. (the Tony-winning Ain't Misbehavin') will direct. Auditions are being held in New York City this week.
