George Strait will launch his 2005 tour on Jan. 13 in Charlotte, N.C., visiting 19 cities across the U.S. The tour concludes
in Denver on March 5. Dierks Bentley, who returns to the Strait tour as a support act, will preview songs from a new album
scheduled for summer 2005. "I am very honored to be invited back to open up shows for the king of country music," Bentley
said. "I guess all my begging and groveling to George and (George's wife) Norma last year paid off." Texas singer Amber Dotson
will also join the tour as the opening act.
