The Country Music Association (CMA) donated $100,000 to various charities Tuesday (Dec. 7) during a ceremony at the Country
Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Country artists who participated in the 2004 CMA Music Festival (formerly Fan
Fair) were able to choose a charity that would benefit from some of the event's proceeds. The Country Music Retirement Community,
which has not yet been built, received the most funds for the fourth year in a row. In addition, the CMA donated $500,000
to the Hall of Fame's development campaign. Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn and Jamie O'Neal participated in the ceremony.
